UAE Pavilion at Shanghai Expo 2010 visitors exceeds 200,000
UAE Pavilion at Shangahi Expo, which is supervised over by National Media Council (NMC), has been so far drawing visitors, hitting record of 200, 000 visitors since the inauguration of the world event early May.The pavilion officials are keen to to meet a number of visitors daily to answer their queries on different aspects of life in the UAE and provide them with required electronic sites to view information on tourism, investment and property development in the country.
The Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) in business section at the UAE pavilion has been wooing huge number of visitors, who enquire about the first city in the world to be set up by masdar, free from Carbone emissions.
Meanwhile, the UAE national folklore troupes of the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Community Development have continued to perform their dances to thrill the audience.
Emirates News Agency (WAM) correspondent talked to the Sharjah Transport Corporation delegation headed by Abdullah Mohammed Al Zari, director general of the corporation, said the UAE pavilion "is a tourist landmark and a pride at Shanghai Expo 2010 due to its marvellous shape and multimedia materials on the UAE." On his part, Pat Cox, the former president of EU Parliament expressed his admiration of the UAE pavilion, which reflects progress being experienced by the UAE. He lauded forthcoming Masdar city, which will be environment-friendly city.
Lee Chiaw Ping, deputy supervisor general of Chinese pavilion, said the UAE pavilion is an opportunity to exchange information and views with the Chinese Companies to set up joint investment and industrial companies that would further develop the economies of the UAE and China.
