In a bid to repeat the resounding success story in the U.I.M. F1H2O WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2010, Grand Prix of Sharjah, and to implement the directions of H.H Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority has conceptualized an entertainment, family oriented, tourist sport festival, that offers miscellaneous activities designed to create a fun environment that focuses on the culture, history and heritage of the emirate in a sophisticated educational manner.

About Sharjah Water Festival 2010

The Emirate of Sharjah will host in the period from the 2nd – 11th of December 2010 the Sharjah Water festival for the fourth year on the row. (Fourth consecutive year) The festival attracts every year more than 200000 visitors to enjoy a wide range of recreational activities and different international shows. The events of the festival are developing every year through adding more and more innovative and creative ideas. These new events play a great role in attracting families to more fun and entertainment in an educational, cultural and promotional manner.

The importance of Sharjah Water festival lies in its significant contribution to strengthen the position of Sharjah as a family tourist destination and reflects the love of the Emirate to the sea and the memories of the parents and grandparents related to it. It also reflects the success of the country and the different generations and is adding more joy and happiness to the festival as it is synchronized with the celebrations of the National Day of the UAE.

Bringing waves of fun to the festival, Mouj is the Sharjah Water Festival Mascot. He is our hero who easily endears himself to people of all ages, especially to kids. Certainly Mouj has given new life to water and special taste to the Sharjah Water Festival

Sharjah Water Festival Activities

he events of Sharjah Water festival are going to take place at Khalid Lagoon and in Al Majaz Park where you will find the Mouj Island, the most important (the prominent) performances of Mouj “Meet & greet”, the Pet show, the pirates stunt show, the puppetry animation, the drums show and the Carnival Show, and also the National Day parade and the sand castle workshop.

The events of Sharjah water festival this year includes also big performances and offers major entertainment events, the most prominent events are the theatre of physical comedy and circus arts (Aga boom), the Sinbad diving show and the heritage village, in addition to the world’s premier U.I.M. F1H2O WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2010, Grand Prix of Sharjah.
