The most important exhibitions include “Sharjah International Book Fair”, “MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show”, Plastivision Arabia, Arabiamold and Print Pack Arabia.

H.E. Saif Mohammed Al-Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, said that the Centre has realized its objectives for the first half of 2017, as its events attracted more than 300,000  visitors from the UAE and abroad. These figures represent about 2% increase in the number of visitors compared to the same period last year.

Al-Midfa expressed his positive expectations about the events and the attendance it would attract. These events are among the most prominent, specialized economic and cultural events in the UAE and the region. A huge segment of investors, traders, families, and individuals are interested in the events, due to the Centre’s great history, excellence, and leadership in different fields.

Al-Midfa pointed out that most exhibitions which will be organized or hosted by Expo Sharjah in the second half of 2017 have grown in terms of space and the number of exhibitors, including governmental and private bodies and companies. He also emphasized that participation at local and international events has become a priority for many institutions aspiring to introduce their products, programs, and solutions to new markets, or to expand and promote their businesses in the UAE and the region.

Al-Midfa also stressed the importance of the strategic location of the Emirate of Sharjah, which provides companies access to the neighbouring markets. Sharjah is also distinguished for its investment environment and infrastructure that includes advanced policies and regulations. In addition, Expo Centre Sharjah is characterized by its cultural ambience and has always been committed to a sustainable development of its performance and to offering the best services. These factors has greatly contributed to establish the Centre as an outstanding and leading destination for local, regional, and international exhibitors, and to the success and achievements of the Centre over a period of 40 years. The Centre has always received support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and valuable directives from the wise leadership that helped foster the international status of Sharjah in the exhibition industry. This will hopefully attract more investments and business tourism to Sharjah and boost its economy.
