Huge Turnout For Middle East Watch And Jewellery Show At Sharjah Expo Centre

In the first day of its 43rd edition, the Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show has witnessed a huge turnout of businessmen, visitors, and investors seeking to benefit from the quality opportunities, offers, and the valuable prizes provided by the Show to its visitors. Kicked off at Sharjah Expo Centre, the Show attracted over 11,300 visitors on its first day, with a 16% increase compared to the first day of the previous edition. This reflects the importance of the event as a seasonal platform on the local and regional level. The Show represent the ideal platform for conducting business and building partnerships, in addition to being an opportunity for direct purchase from major companies and leading international trademarks. The Show raised the number of valuable prizes for this edition, as visitors making purchases valued at AED 500 and above will be eligible for entering daily raffles on a Mercedes Benz, 2 kg gold ingots, diamond rings, and many other valuable prizes including watches and jewellery. His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, said the number of exhibitors in the current edition exceeded 500 companies with remarkable increase in the participation of national pavilions. The event recorded a 16% growth in the number of first-day visitors compared to the previous edition. These positive results affirm the Show’s distinctiveness, leading nature, importance, and distinguished position in the industry on regional and international level. Al Midfa also noted that Expo Centre Sharjah has become a regional hub for gold, jewellery, and watch trade in the Middle East. It has become a preferred destination for global companies, brands, businessmen, designers, craftsmen, and consumers to bolster their presence in the region’s markets. This is highlighted by the Expo Centre Sharjah’s position as the only exhibitions center in the world that holds such an event twice a year. Al Midfa pointed out that the jewellery and watches market is witnessing an upswing, which inspires further commitment to keeping up with market developments, as the Centre is working to launch a package of new quality initiatives to boost the Show’s success in future editions and earn exhibitors’ trust and visitors’ satisfaction. On a relevant note, a number of participants expressed their commitment to participate constantly in the Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show. Exhibitors assert that it is the most important and biggest event of its kind on the UAE and the region. Notable among these exhibitors is Salem Al Shueibi, owner of Al Shueibi Jewellery which is participating for the 43rd time in the Show.
