Kalimat Group Will Bring 56 New Titles To Sharjah International Book Fair

Kalimat Group, the Sharjah-based publisher of Arabic books, will be participating at the 36th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2017), which will run from 1 – 11 November at Expo Centre Sharjah. The group will use the prestigious platform of the world’s third largest book fair to release more than 50 of their first edition titles. Among the 56 titles that will be released, 30 will represent the Kalimat imprint, an award-winning publisher of Arabic children’s books which organises an array of activities and events for children, 15 will be launched under its subsidiary Rewayat, specialised in fiction and non-fiction books; and one project by Horouf, a Kalimat Group subsidiary that develops innovative educational tools for young learners. The new Horouf project will be released in celebration of the 46th UAE National Day. It is a set of 7 books, 32 educational Q&A cards and attractive stickers of the UAE’s flag that depict the UAE’s culture and history in attractive ways for children to learn from. These new titles will be added to the existing 400 titles that Kalimat Group has published over 10 years, and reflects their commitment to enriching the literary landscape of the UAE to benefit younger generations. The group will also organise a series of book reading sessions, educational competitions, and book signing events. Since its inception, “Kalimat Group” has participated in 50 international book fairs worldwide, and distributed its books in more than 16 countries and 3,000 schools. The group prides itself in publishing the highest-quality Arabic books, 30 of which have won prestigious Arab and international awards. “Kalimat Group” has collaborated with more than 120 authors and 100 illustrators from around the world. 50 of its books were translated from Arabic into foreign languages.
