A new operetta has been composed to commemorate this year's National Day celebrations. The operetta, titled Nation of Light, will be performed on Thursday 30th November at 8:00 pm in the Al Majaz Amphitheatre by renowned artists such as Hussein Al Jassmi, Oreib, Samera Ahmed, and Ahmed Al Jassmi.

His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Head of the Sharjah Committee for the UAE's 46th National Day Celebrations said: "This operetta shed lights on the history of the United Arab Emirates, its history of light since its establishment. The operetta features five distinct acts, each reflecting a story of the success of the of the UAE; chronicling both what the country offered its citizens and residents and its efforts to support and help other nations."

The "Nation of Light" Operetta is written by His Excellency Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi and Poet Rashid Sharar, music composed by Emirati Composer Khalid Nasser, directed by Mohammed Al Amri.

Sharjah Committee for the UAE's 46th National Day invites residents and visitors of the Emirate of Sharjah to enjoy this free operetta and called upon them to attend early.
