Sheikh Majid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi Launches International Education Show At Expo Centre Sharjah

Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs,launched the 14th "International Education Show" at Expo CentreSharjah on Wednesday morning. The Show will be held until the 26thof January under the patronage of the Ministry Of Education. H. E. Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, who was accompanied by H.E Abdullah bin Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), and other representatives of the Ministry of Education, along with a number of official and academic figures, toured the exhibition hall which includes more than 100 local, regional and international educational institutions. Best Education H. E. Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimiexpressed the importance of the International Education Show as a project that supports one of the most important goals of " UAE Centennial 2071," which is tohelp build the "best education in the world", and to create a generation that carries the banner of the future and enjoys the highest scientific and professional standards that ensure a happy future and a better life, and a generation that helps to raise the position of the country to be one the best in the world. H. E. Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimipointed out that the various cultural, knowledge and scientific events and activities in the emirate of Sharjah represent a special interest of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. H. E. Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi also pointed out the importance of the International Education Show in introducing a wide range of young people to the different areas of study and scientific disciplines that are suited to the needs of the future labor market. Prominent Pavilion H.E Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI, stated that the International Education show is considered one of the most important events hosted by Expo Centre Sharjah, which was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Education.He stated that the Show’s importance isdue to the fact that it targets the youth segment of the population, which is the future driving force of both the labor market and future developmental projects.He also added that the Show is one of the events that contribute to the unprecedented prosperity witnessed by the higher education sector in the region, and especially in the UAE which places education at the top of its priorities and which was ranked fourth as the world's most attractive educational destination for students wishing to pursue their studies abroad. State-of-the-art Programs Participants in this year’s edition of the Show will showcase hundreds of state-of-the-art programs and a wide range of learning options from universities, colleges, higher education institutes, business schools, technical and art institutes and management training centers from around the world, which include institutions from the UAE, Malaysia, Britain, Canada, the United States, India and Australia. The Showincludes prominentpavilions that will host many of the world's leading educational institutions, including the exclusive educational fair in India. A number of educational institutions will participate in the Show for the first time, which includeCurtin University Dubai, Dubai College of Tourism, Imam Malik College, The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, UAE University, Zayed University, Lebanese American University,Eaton Business School, Univer360, and UniversitiSains Malaysia. The event is an important platform that helps guide students on the options available for university majors, which helps the country meet the requirements of sustainable development. The show, which is taking place on Wednesday and Thursday, will include a number of workshops targeting students, academic and professional guides. Ministry of Health organized a workshop titled “ Nursing Pride and Creativity” meanwhile, Ministry of Human Resources &Emiratisation organized a workshop titled “Your Career in the Private Sector”, as well as a workshop organized by the Management Training and Professional Development by the title “Future Teacher Grant” and a workshop organized by the Management of Academic and Vocational Guidance by the title “Innovation is in Guidance”. The show includes a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, vocational courses, job placement programs, as well as short-term certification courses and career enhancement programs for executive managers, in addition to presentations and seminars from different educational institutions participating in the event. The show is open to visitors on Wednesday and Thursday in two periods, from 9 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm, except fridays, it opens from 3 pm to 9 pm. The show was dedicated to males on 24 January, from 9 am to 2 pm and females on 25 January, from 9 am to 2 pm. |
