In line with the Bukhatir MEA 2017 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative, CONMIX organized a Clean-Up Drive on the 17th of November 2017 in all the Emirates where our plants, offices, and labour accommodations are located, namely, Sharjah, Ajman, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

The Clean-Up Drive was carried out simultaneously in all locations from 8:30 to 10:30 in the morning with by over 110 volunteer workers. The activity emphasized on removing litter/waste dumped around the premises of CONMIX facilities, in common public areas. All the collected wastes were weighed amounting to over 3,180 kg.

Apart from Team Building, the objective of this Clean-Up Drive was to promote awareness on community cleanliness and environmental protection among the company’s personnel, highlighting the harmful effects on our health and environment as a result of irresponsible behavior of throwing waste in non-designated areas.

The core message behind the activity is essentially to reiterate the necessity of maintaining cleanliness, and that achieving our common cause is made possible and simpler with everyone’s help.
