500 Brands And Companies To Participate In The MidEast Watch And Jewellery Show

Expo Centre Sharjah has announced that it will host 500 local and international brands and companies at the 44th edition of the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show. The biannual Show will launch on Tuesday, with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Show, which will be held from April 3rd to 7th,will feature a wide range of exhibitors and brands from 25 different countries that specialize in the design and manufacture of watches and jewellery. Exhibitors from countries such as the United Kingdom, Japan, Russia, the United States, Latvia, Lithuania, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Jordan, Bahrain, Turkey, Taiwan, Yemenand the UAE will participate in the exhibition. The Indian pavilion will be the largest at this year’s Show and will include 60 companies that will showcase their latest modern and traditional jewellery designs. The Hong Kong pavilion is the second largest in terms of number of exhibitors and will include 58 companies and brands that will participate in this year’s event. Other prominentpavilions in the exhibitionare the Italian, Malaysian, Singaporean, Lebanese and Thai pavilions. HE Saif Mohamed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, said: "The Mideast Watch and Jewellery Showis one of the most important events in the watches and jewellery industry at the local and regional level. The Show helps to strengthen the UAE’s position as the fifthcountry in the worldin terms of Jewellery purchases, and first place in the world in terms of the rate of jewellery purchases per person.” Al Midfa pointed out that the exhibition provides visitors the chanceto buy directly from manufacturers and offers themopportunities to win valuable prizes and enter draws for every purchase of Dh500 and above. The prizes include a daily draw for half a kilo of gold, in addition to the big draw for a BMW that takes place at the end of the exhibition. He added that the Hong Kong pavilion also plans to offer many prizes to its visitors. The five- day Show will take up most of the exhibition space at Expo Centre Sharjah, which covers an area of 30,000 square meter. The exhibitionhas attracted a large and growing number of visitors since its first launch, and the number of people that attended the last edition of the Showreached a total of 61,456 visitors. The Show will feature a wide range of high quality watches and jewellery that are inspired by both the latest fashion trends and traditional designs and will provide an unparalleled opportunity for traders and merchants to learn about the industry's latest products, designs, trends and technology solutions from all around the world. The exhibition will be held under the sponsorship of Salem Al Shaibi Jewellery, the Platinum partner of the Show, and Khaleej Times, the media partner for the Show. The exhibition is witnessing continuous development and growing interest from the jewellery industry in the region, who provide visitors with great deals on Jewellery.
