SCCI Organizes Training Course On Strategic Planning And Management Of Expenditure

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), represented by the Sharjah Training & Development Center (STDC), organized a virtual training course titled “Re-establishing strategic and operational plans for the management and rationalization of expenditures in light of Covid-19”. The course targeted the directors and heads of departments of the Chamber to develop their skills and enable them to re-develop and formulate strategic goals and operational initiatives and related performance indicators and apply them at the departmental level, in accordance with the approved international standards, and the changes imposed by the Covid-19. Presented by Dr. Abdel Fattah Al-Ajlouni, Administrative Development Expert and consultant, the event was held in the presence of Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant General Director, Support Sector of the SCCI, and touched on the fundamentals of strategic business; the executive stages of preparing plans and methods of formulating strategic goals and indicators, the modern methodologies for strategic planning; and elements of the successful strategic planning amid Covid-19 and their impact on reducing the pandemic repercussions on the institutions. Maryam Saif Al Shamsi said: “The strategic planning and forward-looking visionis one of the basics of the work and success of institutions and companies. Hence the importance of this course to cement the culture of future industry according to advanced methodological tools.” “Planning is a renewed action, and its approaches are evolving and it’s to inevitable to keep abreast of the evolving changes and develop human resources that are considered the basis for the successful implementation of strategic plans,” she added, stressing that the challenges of Covid-19 have proven the importance of strategic planning in achieving adaptation to crises and overcoming them and the need to use strategic working methodologies for a better future. |
