The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD) have discussed future plans to upgrade the forthcoming “Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition- ACRES,” build on its past successes, and broaden the spectrum of local and international engagement.

During a meeting held at the SCCI headquarters, both sides explored avenues for reinforcing the exhibition's leading position as one of the biggest events in the regional real estate sector and amplifying its contribution to the ongoing developments of the real estate landscape in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Present at the meeting were Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI, and Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director-General of the SRERD, as well as Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of the SCCI. Also present were Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Business Group; Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of SCCI's Economic Relations Department, and Omar Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Director of Branches Department, SRERD.

During the meeting, discussions revolved around the future growth prospects of "ACRES," strategic visions, and development proposals. They also reviewed the event's accomplishments during its 2024 edition, which featured real estate transactions amounting to AED1.4 billion contributed by projects from local and international participants.

This marked an impressive growth rate of 202.4 percent compared to last year's edition, with a notable public turnout of approximately 13,000 visitors, comprising Emiratis, residents, investors, businessmen, and representatives from both private and public real estate institutions.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais commended the successive successes and sustained progress of the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition, recognising its achievement in securing significant real estate transactions and drawing thousands of attendees, ranging from visitors and businessmen to investors and property developers.

He emphasised that the meeting delved into innovative proposals, visions, and future plans geared towards improving the exhibition's performance in the forthcoming edition in line with Sharjah's booming real estate sector.

“We look forward to bolstering the event's contribution to advancing the gains of the real estate sector in the emirate and enhancing its role in the GDP, thereby furthering its developmental ambitions,” Al Owais said.

Abdul Al Shamsi highlighted that the meeting was timely. It reflected the deepening strategic partnership with the Sharjah Chamber and underscored a united commitment to bolstering the real estate sector in the Emirate of Sharjah.

He stressed that the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department is keen to intensify its collaborative efforts with the Sharjah Chamber to enhance "ACRES" position as a premier platform that brings together decision-makers, top-tier institutions, and major investors from the global and regional real estate sectors in one consolidated venue.

During the event, discussions touched on the Sharjah Executive Council’s directives and recommendations concerning the operational strategies aimed at evolving the exhibition and amplifying its achievements.

Key topics included improving the satisfaction levels of attendees and participants, expanding participation from domestic and international stakeholders, diversifying innovative display methods, and intensifying the events accompanying the exhibition. These include workshops, training courses, and dialogue sessions designed to bolster awareness about real estate investment and pertinent laws governing real estate affairs.
