Sharjah Islamic Bank launches new bank card on occasion of UAE National Day

Celebrating the 40th UAE National Day, Sharjah Islamic Bank issued a new bank card featuring a special design commemorating this auspicious national occasion. A first of its kind in the UAE, this Prepaid Card was issued in collaboration with MasterCard. This initiative comes as part of the Bank’s celebrations of the UAE National Day and in conjunction with the various festive ceremonies prevailing all over the UAE. Speaking on the occasion, Mohamed Abdullah, CEO of Sharjah Islamic Bank, said, "The 40th UAE National Day represents a great occasion, and as a way of expressing our pleasure and pride to this momentous day, the management of the bank has issued a new card featuring an aesthetic gesture design which is the first of a kind in the UAE, reflecting our celebration of the occasion, and highlighting the sense of belonging and loyalty the staff of the bank has towards the UAE and our leadership, and their role in the development and welfare of the country." Eyad Al-Kourdi, vice president and country manager, UAE, MasterCard Worldwide, said, "We are delighted to work together with Sharjah Islamic Bank and launch this commemorative card that celebrates the 40th UAE National Day. The card offers financial access even to people who do not have a bank account, allowing them to track their spending and manage their finances with the security and convenience that is synonymous with MasterCard cards." The new cards are characterized by its security and ease of use in all of the malls, points of sale and online shopping, as well as the facility of using them to deposit and withdraw at all ATMs installed at the Bank’s locations and branches in the UAE. The cards are available to all UAE nationals and expats starting from 14 years of age, and can also be shared as gifts to anyone on this great occasion. |
