Checkups, Workshops, And Lectures For Sharjah Ladies Club Staff

As part of the set strategies that aims to care for the employees in all given fields, Sharjah Ladies Club in association with Health Promotion Department at the Supreme Council for Family affairs held a “Osteoporosis Campaign”, “Our Healthy Bride” and “How to Read Food Nutrition Labels” workshops at Sharjah Ladies Club.

The club organized “Osteoporosis Campaign” at Fitness 180° Center which received a huge number of ladies from members, staff and visitors of the club who were able to go through examinations to know their CA level, and whether they are susceptible to the disease. In addition to, getting free consultations from specialists on how to reduce Osteoporosis by following a healthy diet and other valuable advises. On another hand, the club held an introductory lecture, titled “Our Healthy Bride”, which introduces healthy and right habits that must be taken into consideration by every bride. Such as taking care of her health, self, and hygiene to avoid any harm or negatively affects on the bride before and during the wedding.

“Since we started the implementation of plans and strategies for employee care in all aspects, and that is in association with Health Promotion Department at the Supreme Council for Family affairs, we have witnessed a large turnout from staff and members of the club in all workshops. This confirms the positive reaction and desire of individuals in identifying such concepts and undergo health examinations, and learning through lectures and workshops. We will continue organizing more of these workshops through cooperation with competent authorities in educating individuals”, said Asma Saleh, Services Supervisor at SLC.

Moreover, the club also held a “How to Read Food Nutrition Labels” which worked on introducing the audience on the importance of food labels main content, and how to read them in order to get correct and accurate information.

It is worthy to mention that Sharjah Ladies Club works on organizing various workshops and programs for its members and staff, in order to educate them on the importance of social and health issues.
