Sharjah Statistics Centre (SSC) launched today the first field phase of the social and economic survey of the emirate’s nationals.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, SSC Director General, said the survey would provide accurate and reliable demographic, economic and social data and indexes on the emirate of Sharjah population which will help the government to raise living standards through well-planned and well-informed development plans.
The survey, he added, would target in its first phase Emirati citizens and then the non-nationals to reach accurate data on the number of population and economic, social ,health and educational data for each member of family living in the emirate.
A second 18-day phase, he added, will be rolled out on 3 March to gather detailed information on households.
