Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) celebrated Mother’s Day across its departments and facilities through holding various activities and events all around the club on Thursday 21st March. This is in line with the club’s strategy, which is keen in participating and being part of local and global occasions aiming to introduce the most important and global issues to people. The club also held discounts for this special occasions as well as mother and child activities and lectures.
The event which was sponsored by Jotun Paints, Baby Shop, Edible Arrangement, Fuala, Home Centre, and Oudah Boutique, included several activities that brought mothers together with their children. Basateen Preschool Center held a mother and child activities which included a variety of games on the SLC beach, such as treasure hunt game, Spongebob race, wheels race and more. These activities worked on breaking the routine for children and mothers through these fun activities.
On the other hand, the club held various lectures for mothers. The first lecture was presented by Dr. Khalifa Al Mehrizi, Family Consultant, titled “How to manage your time between your work and your children?” which included valuable information and advices about how to balance work and family and the importance of time management in our daily lives which helps us coordinate between family and tasks. The lecture witnessed a huge turnout from mothers interacting with the presenter and sharing their experience.
The club also held a lecture presented by The Breastfeeding Friends and supported by Just Kidding, titled “Learn about the benefits of breastfeeding!” which was presented by experts from the organization that included the importance of breastfeeding and its benefits not only to the child but also to the mother.
“The club’s various facilities participated in the Mother’s Day celebrations, in which we held different activities which brought mothers together with their children in memorable moments. Through this we offered discounts by the club’s facilities especially for mothers and holding such valuable lectures for the purpose of giving them guidance and advices. Therefore, at the end of the day we held a special carnival for mothers and children to enjoy the various activities. The club was always keen in providing and serving women “mothers” to what’s best through various entertainments, educational and informative events. We hope to continue serving women continuously through offering everything that’s new and informative”, said Ameera Al Jariri, Events & Public Relation Manager.
On the other hand, Orchid Beauty Boutique and Dalouk Spa offered special discounts for members and visitors of the club for this occasion, offering 15% discounts on all individual treatments as well as special gifts. Moreover, the Cub Registration of the club offered special rates on various memberships, whereas the Basateen preschool Center offered 5 hours free for 10 hours package. Also, Lafeef restaurant distributed special mother’s day giveaways of cookies and cake.
In conclusion, the club held various activities on the beach area for mothers and children, such as arts & crafts, face painting, cake decoration and many more. Gifts were distributed among mothers and children through raffle draws.
