Under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority - (Shrooq), Chairperson of Al Qasba, and Vice Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club, Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) hosted its Annual Members Gathering themed"Hollywood Thrill", sponsored by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) (Main sponsor), and Grand Resort Bad Ragaz (Gold Sponsors). The Hollywood themed event included various entertainment segments which dazzled the audience.
The event took place at the Kunooz Ballroom at SLC, with the presence of Sheikha Ayesha bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Khawla Al Serkal, Director of SLC, along with several socialites, members of the club, ex members, and the club’s heads and managers.
First, Marwa Al Khatib, Media Executive at SLC welcomed the guests and wished the members to enjoy this Hollywood themed event, then invited Nouria Mohammed, Club Registration Manager to give her speech and mention the latest offers set for the members. Nouria emphasized that the club continued its 3rd decade, celebrating its 30th anniversary with achievements and best services, where the club is also starting its renovation plans in several facilities. This comes within the strategies of 2013 in expanding facilities to improve services for the club’s members and visitors. Such as the ongoing renovations at the Art & Educational center, which will come out with a new identity and includes a selection of classes and workshops under one roof.
In addition, Mohammed unveiled plans in embracing special and bigger events for the members, and ensured the diversification of themes and topics set. She also assured guests that this year will hold a variety of social and religious lectures, presented by specialists, such as Dr. Khalifa Al Mehrizi, Family Consultant, as well as offering special discounts for previous members on their membership renewal.
After the speech, the audience was able to enjoy the first entertainment of the night which was the "Broadway show", a theatrical inspired dance, followed by the second entertainment titled "Modern Dance", which was based on bringing the modern Hollywood atmosphere to the evening. The event also included a speech by an official of (ADIB) followed by a corporate video introducing all services and facilities of (SLC). The audience also enjoyed a fashion show brought by Fontenay Paris showcasing and introducing exclusive sets of jewelry and authentic Paris timepieces for SLC’s members, along with an introduction of Fontenay Paris’s 20 years of history in the making of timeless jewelry.
"Annual Members Gathering event is one of the most eagerly awaited events by our members, considering it one of the biggest events that offer many valuable surprises to the members. And this year, the event included the theme of "Hollywood" taking the audience to the world of glitz and glamous, where we in turn work on adding new entertainment segments and surprises for our guests. Moreover, this year we will be hosting several events for our members which will work on entertaining them and introducing them to the latest topics and issues. We hope everyone enjoyed today’s event, as we continue hosting & embracing such events in the future as well", said Ameera Al Jariri, Events & Public Relation Manager.
In Conclusion, the guests were invited for a delicious dinner, followed by a raffle draw on grand prizes brought by the event’s sponsors, such as, a 3 night stay in Switzerland with accommodation and a 7 day trip to Europe in a Cruise ship.
Finally, Al Khatib thanked all sponsors and media representatives during the event who worked on the success of the event. Moreover, the event concluded with a draw on the three best hairstyles and gowns of the evening.
