SNTTA Cargo was named ‘General Sales Agent of the Year’ at the Annual Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATA 2013) instituted by magazine publisher ITP Business in Dubai recently.

The award was received by Vishal Dhamija, General Manager, SNTTA Cargo, from Ahmad Lala, Editor of Logistics Middle East magazine, in the presence of a galaxy of industry professionals and experts.

“The annual SCATA event recognizes some of the best performers in the field of cargo and logistics, and SNTTA Cargo is proud to have been honoured as the General Sales Agent of the Year,” said Dhamija. “The recognition is an endorsement of the global best practices adopted by SNTTA Cargo, as we pursue an aggressive growth strategy, encouraged by the UAE’s growing importance as an international cargo and logistics hub.”

SNTTA Cargo, which is a member of the UAE-based Liberty Group, is the GSA for several leading international airlines.

The winners were selected by an eminent panel of judges that included Mahmood Al Bastaki, CEO, Dubai Trade; Youssef Beydoun, Head of Cargo & Logistics Control Authority at Dubai Airports; Salma Ali Saif Bin Hareb, CEO of Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority; Shashi Shekhar, Founder of the Supply Chain and Logistics Group (SCLG); Alex Borg, Regional Director of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport International for UAE and Middle East, and David Phillips, President of the National Association of Freight and Logistics (NAFL), the Gulf’s first national freight forwarders and logistics association.
