Sharjah Ladies Club concluded its “Mushmis Summer Camp 2013” which lasted for two months and over two phases; the pre & post Ramadan. The camp saw the usual great turnout from kids who enjoyed a set of fun and educational activities.
The camp was divided into three different camps for different age groups. The first group is the "Little Mushmis" targeted 2-4 years old children and included Water Sponging, Drawing & Painting, Ball Games, Art & Craft, weekly entertaining trips, and much more activities. The second group was the "Active Mushmis" targeting 5-13 year old, dividing into categories with boys from ages 5-9, and girls from 5-9 and 10-13 years old. This camp included different activities such as, Cooking & Etiquette, Carpenter, Water Polo Games, Zumba Fitness, Fun on Ice, and a lot more. The third group was the "Sunshine Summer Camp" targets teenagers’ ages from 14-17 years old, and its program included French Language Classes, Cake Decorating, Jewelry Making, Shooting, and many more.
On the other hand, the camp organized a number of weekly trips where children were able to visit places like Sharjah Aquarium, Dubai Dophinarium, and Children’s City. Children were able to gain knowledge, break the daily routine and enjoy fun times at new places.
“We always strive to develop Mushmis Summer Camp’s activities and adding more new programs, which works on satisfying all ages and interests. This year we have added new classes such as in fashion design, Jewelry design, along with multiple trips which in turn added a change factor for the kids. All activities are set to develop the children involved, mentally, physically and intellectually. We are glad of the huge outcome and feedback of participants this year, and we hope that all participants spent their summer in a fun and useful time”, said Asil Chaar, one of Mushmis Summer Camp Organizers.
Throughout the period of the camp, surveys & feedback forms was distributed among participants and mothers for the development of a better Mushmis Summer Camp in the future. Moreover, free vouchers from Pink Pepper worth DHS 800 were distributed amongst participants during the camp.
It is worthy to mention that the "Mushmis Summer Camp" which celebrates Mushmis mascot that reflects the summer holidays; lasted between June 9 & July 4 & between August 11 & 29. It saw a great number of turnouts and will be hosting more camps in winter and spring subsequently.
