As part of the set strategies that aims to care for the employees in all given fields, Sharjah Ladies Club in cooperation with Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center organized a Blood Donation Campaign. Members, visitors and staff of the club were able to donate blood to those who need it.

The campaign was organized for SLC staff and members, raising awareness in the importance of blood donation continuously for the benefits it includes, not only for the donor, but for those whose life is going to be saved through the donated blood. Great number of employees participated in the event and donated blood to those in need.
On this Occasion, Muna Al -Safari, Head of HR & Organizational Development at SLC reassured the importance of associating with different health institutes in order to spread awareness amongst employees on current health issues.

“We have established a plan and a strategy that aims at introducing our staff and members to all healthy habits and in order to bring awareness we are always keen in organizing healthy campaigns. The Blood Donation Campaign had a positive impact on our employees and encouraged them to take part in this volunteer act of saving lives. Donations will help anyone in need especially with rare blood types, such as B-, O- and AB-. In addition, blood donation has many medical advantages for the donor such as improving blood circulation, reduces cholesterol and preventing iron accumulation. The event received a huge turnout and positive response, which encourages us to organize more of such awareness events”. Said Muna Al -Safari.

It is worthy to mention that the campaign received a huge turnout of donors from members, visitors and staff of the club helping in saving lives.
