Sharjah Ladies Club Celebrates 42nd National Day "Beladi"

Under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Investment & Development Authority – Shurooq, Deputy Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC). SLC Celebrated the 42nd UAE National day with its “Beladi” event, supported by Ouda Boutique, Watani, Women Sports Department and Fuala, which included several activities held all over the club.

The event started off with a parade by SLC’s staff and Basateen Preschool children around the club chanting the national anthem. Showing off their unique traditional costumes made specifically for this occasion. Also, allocating SLC’s beach terrace as a children’s playground area which included fun games, art & craft corner, henna design, competitions and gifts.

On the other hand, the ladies enjoyed the traditional Souq corner which showcased traditional bazaar, as well as a traditional UAE food corner. In addition to that, visitors enjoyed the Heritage dance (Youlla) performed by children.

“This yearly occasion is considered one of the most important celebrations in our events calendar which works on entertaining and serving children and ladies. We are always keen in adding new activities works on entertaining our visitors, such as adding the traditional Souq corner this year. This added a sense of UAE tradition that worked on teaching children about the UAE heritage. We are very thankful for the great turnouts this year, where we were able to gain the satisfaction of our members and visitors”. Said Ameera Al Jariri, Events & Public Relation Manager.

It is worthy to mention that “Beladi” national day event took place from 9 AM till 7 PM holding multiple activities catering to both ladies and children around the club. This year’s event witnessed major changes and activities.

In conclusion, memorable prizes and gifts distributed among visitors brought by the supported sponsors.
