Under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Investment & Development Authority – Shurooq, Deputy Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC), SLC held its annual staff gathering took place at Rabia Oasis, witnessed by SLC’s staff in a desert safari evening where everyone spent unforgettable moments. The event sponsored by Kanzi, Dubai Dolphinarium, Fuala, and Oudah Botique.
The event was attended by SLC’s Director Khawla Al Serkal, Amna Al Shenasi, Head of SLC Branches, along with all facility and department managers and employees.
The ceremony welcomed employees and thanked their presence in this annual event; which is a tribute to all SLC’s staff on their great efforts and hard work during this year. The club held various events and activities during 2013 both inside and outside the organization, and was able to reach its achievements with the great efforts of its staff.
Khawla Al Serkal awarded various unique departments and facilities for the year 2013, such as the Club Registration department awarded by Target achiever team. Whereas, SLC outlet team winning Best Performing POS, and Fitness 180◦ awarded by Most Improved POS. Basateen Preschool Center winning Volunteer Recognition team, and the STAR award (service, teamwork, attitude & reliability) was awarded to the Dalouk Spa. Moreover, Kunooz team won the Customer Service excellence, and the Events department team was awarded with the MAD award (making a difference), and IT team winning the Beyond the call of duty award.
As for individual award for the year 2013, Al Serkal awarded Meithal Al Amri from the Business Management department with the SLC rising star award. Chef Majid Al Sabagh received the unmatched performance award, and Areej Shashaa from the Marketing team was awarded by Giving beyond measure award. Whereas, Fatima Al Hammadi from the HR team received Going the extra mile award, and Thuraya Jalal, Finance Manager was awarded with upcoming leader award. Thouraya Zelfeni received the most supportive employee, Amina Al Marzouqi from the purchasing team was awarded with the above and beyond award, as for the Young leader award was given to Alya Al Harmoudi, Head of Business management, Badria Al Ali, Head of Corporate Communication department awarded with the behind the scenes leader award. Moreover, Muna Safari, Head of HR was awarded with 110% solution award, and finally the club awarded SLC’s director Khawla Al Serkal with the Mentor recognition award.
“This annual gathering is the most awaited event by the staff to give an opportunity to honor individuals and departments for the continuous support and considerable efforts during this year. Especially this year was full of success and achievements marking us as one of the most leading women organization. This is an opportunity for us to honor all those who contributed to the success of the organization and great performance in 2013. So, this year we wanted to take our staff for dinner in the middle of the desert in a breathtaking atmosphere. We hope to continue organizing such annual event for its great positive feedback on our employees”. Said Khawla Al Serkal, SLC Director.
The event held a raffle draw on various prizes brought by the event’s sponsors, along with a desert safari dune ride, traditional food corner, horse and camel ride and entertaining shows which added fun and enjoyable times for the guests.
It is worthy to mention that Sharjah Ladies Club is always keen in throwing such annual staff gathering ceremony in an atmosphere far from working hours and daily stress. And it seeks through this to increase gatherings between employees, outnumbering 400 employees and staff of the club. Since the club includes various facilities and departments sometimes it is difficult for employees to bond during working hours. This gathering helps to form a bonding relationship with managers and their staff.
