MoI Promotes Law Respect Among Sharjah Police Officers

The Ministry of Interior has urged Sharjah police officers to promote the concept of respecting the law and urged them to commit to this through their work and behavior.

The Law Respect Culture Bureau at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior presented Sharjah Police General Directorates’ staff with educational lectures that were attended by more than one thousand staff members.

First Lieutenant Nasser Al Kaabi, Head of the Police Awareness Section at the Law Respect Culture Bureau, mentioned that he had reviewed the key legal points with the attendees. The lectures covered police officers’ different duties, including the role of the executive administrative officer who stops crimes and the role of the non-executive administrative officer whose duty is to pursue criminals and bring them to justice, and collect all relative evidence necessary to conduct an investigation. He pointed to the significance of introducing such legal details to the officers so that they can properly carry out their specific roles and help in the maintenance of security and stability in the country.

“A modern society enjoys a deep-rooted respect for the law; the culture that is based on the concept of citizenship and sovereignty of law,” said Al Kaabi. He also said that the members of this society have a strong sense of duty and want to persecute criminals and want to address these negative social aspects.
