Al Noman, Director General of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), has stressed the importance of strengthening relations and sharing experience with the international tourism community with the aim of further developing Sharjah’s tourism sector, since the emirate has already drawn significant tourist attention.

The meeting forms part of a series of meetings that commenced last year, alongside the SCTDA’s participation in ITP Singapore and is consistent with the Authority’s plans to target Asian markets with the aim of further increasing tourist inflow into the emirate.
Al Noman added that heritage and multicultural diversity are important in the support of tourism growth, pointing to Sharjah’s unique heritage and cultural tourism attractions. “Sharjah enjoys unique attractions for culture and heritage tourism and we strive to expand our range of promotional campaigns for the emirate on both the regional and international levels. These campaigns have already resulted in very positive responses from the Asian market,” he said.

The SCTDA will cooperate with the Singapore Tourism Board to develop these projects in the near future.
