The Safety and Inspection Department of Emirates Post Group recently conducted a mock drill at Sharjah Central Post Office in association with the Civil Defense Department of Sharjah to test the readiness of the Group's buildings to deal with fires and other emergencies.
Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam, Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Post Group, thanked the Civil Defense Department of Sharjah for its continued cooperation with government and community sectors.
Mr. Fahad Al Hosani, Acting CEO of Emirates Post Group, said such activities stemmed from the Group's commitment to ensuring the safety of employees and customers and training the staff in the right steps to be taken in case of any emergencies during working hours by applying the highest standards of safety.
Mr. Abdullah bin Somnoh , Director of Third Postal Zone, appreciated the role of the Civil Defense Department in Sharjah in conducting the drill and said the event demonstrated the postal zone's keenness to ensure occupational safety in their places of work and residence .
Mr. Sami Al Khaja, acting Executive Director of Support Services, said the mock evacuation drill was part of the Action Plan of the Safety Inspection Department, which seeks to educate employees and customers with safety measure and effective action in the event of any emergency.
