The Organising Committee of Knowledge Without Borders (KWB), the initiative dedicated to distributing home libraries to Emirati families in the Emirate of Sharjah, has announced the names of winners in its 'My Summer, My Book' competition.
The competition was launched on social media sites with the aim of promoting reading habits during travel, encouraging people to immerse themselves in reading during the summer vacation and make use of their free time to increase their general knowledge.
The winners are Fatima Al Naboodah, who posted a video of herself reading a book in the Netherlands, Mariam Al Muttawa, who posted a photo of the book that was her companion during her travels to Turkey, Fadia Al Muaini who posted a photo of her visit to India, and Hind Linid who posted a photo of her young child with his book during their travel to the Netherlands. Each winner will receive a professional camera.
The Knowledge without Borders project was launched under the auspices of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and with the close follow up of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Organising Committee of the Knowledge without Borders project.
