Two lucky Sahara Centre visitors will be making the most of the open road and taking their driving experience to a new level after each winning an Audi R8 performance car. The brace of luxury sports machines was the top prize on offer at the popular Sharjah lifestyle and leisure destination’s combined Summer Surprises and Ramadan promotion, titled: ‘Take the Wheel like Never Before,’
The winners of the pair of mid-engine supercars were Adel Ali AL Saarani, a Saudi national and Sekralem Desta, both tourists visiting the UAE. They received their keys from Akram Ammar, Sahara Centre’s Managing Director, in a special prize-giving event at the mall. Also attending the ceremony was UAE resident Yongmei Shi from China, who scooped third prize in the mall’s promotion, which ran from June 12 to August 31. Her winning ticket earned her an all-expenses paid holiday for two to Germany to visit the Audi car factory and museum.
Sahara Centre’s 12-week long Summer Surprises and Ramadan promotion took in the FIFA World Cup, which proved a popular draw for visitors. Tournament matches were shown on wide screens at the centre’s new restaurant area at the East Atrium, with themed mall activities including Samba Parades, a World Cup Exhibition and demonstrations of Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art.
