Sahara Centre has been awarded the Best Shopping Mall in Sharjah for 2014. The popular lifestyle and retail destination received the honour from the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), which selected it based on a number of strict criteria. The award was presented to Sahara Centre at the 7th edition of the Sharjah Tourism Excellence Award, which was held on May 3rd under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

“We are both honoured and delighted to have received this distinguished recognition and we accept it on behalf of everyone at Sahara Centre who has made it possible – it was a great team effort. We can promise that we will continue working to improve the services that we offer to visitors and shoppers at Sharjah’s premium shopping, dining and leisure destination,” said Akram Ammar, Managing Director, Sahara Centre.

Attending the gala awards event was His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation; Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman bin Salem Al Qasimi, Head of the Office of HH the Ruler of Sharjah; Dr. Taleb Rifai, Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organisation; HE Mohammad Ali Al Noman, Chairman SCTDA; HE Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Director General, SCTDA; a number of heads and representatives of government departments and members of the media.
