Saif Zone To Add Another 3 Million Square Meters

Sharjah Airport International Free Zone, SAIF Zone, has successfully participated in Project Qatar, the 12th international construction technology and building materials exhibition that has attracted over 32,000 visitors and 830 B2B meetings.

The event, which was held recently in the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha, had participation from more than 2,500 companies from 50 countries.

SAIF Zone team, consisting of Saif Al Suwaidi and Yasser Abed Hamid, participated in the event under the umbrella of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SCCI, with other major enterprises and government agencies and institutions in Sharjah.

A number of senior businessmen and leaders visited the Sharjah Pavilion. Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, Minister of Economy and Trade in Qatar and Mohammed bin Saleh Al Ameri, UAE Ambassador to Qatar, were some of the prominent figures who visited the Sharjah Pavilion.

"The venue was a good platform to project Sharjah and its facilities to Doha and rest of the world," said Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Sharjah Airport International Free Zone, SAIF Zone, and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, HFZA. Al Mazrouei stressed the importance of participation in such events, especially under the umbrella of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

"We are going to add another 3 million square meters to the existing area of 6.1 million square meters of industrial and commercial land. SAIF Zone meets the highest international standards in providing quality services, robust infrastructure and we provide opportunities for the success and sustainability of manufacturing, commercial and service facilities", he added.

A huge number of exhibitors from Austria, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Jordan, KSA, Kuwait, Malaysia, Pakistan, Portugal, Turkey and the United Kingdom also actively participated in the Project Qatar event.
