Sharjah Finance Department Reveals It’s Latest Smart Services At GITEX
(20 October 2015)

The Central Finance Department of Sharjah, CFD, unveiled today at Gitex 2015 its latest smart services, which enable vendors of the Emirate's governmental departments, to register and update their data, in addition to view Request for Proposals, RFPs, submit tenders, and review payments history.

The launch of these two electronic services comes in line with the CFD's strategy to enhance the processes and procedures of Sharjah government departments in relation to financial matters, by providing smart and creative electronic services and solutions.

The registration portal enables "Tasheel" listed vendors of Sharjah government entities to sign up their companies with CFD electronically and without having to submit paperwork to any governmental department.

These new services complement CFD's already-existing integrated financial system, Takamul (Integration).

Meanwhile, the vendor's portal provides them with a one-stop shop to view proposals for various government entities tenders and RFPs, their payments history and government entities ratings for their services and products. Commenting on the launch of the Electronic Portal, Waleed Al-Sayegh, Director General of CFD, said,

"Since 2006, the Central Finance Department of Sharjah has embarked on a mission to augment the emirate's government entities performance in relation to financial processes. Our efforts have culminated with the launch of Takamul, a fully integrated online financial system, a first of its kind in the Arab world.

"The launch of the vendors-specific services today, comes as part of the Central Finance Department's strategy to enhance operations of the emirate's governmental departments in relation to fiscal matters. This step also comes in line with the directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah."
