Bee’ah, the Middle East’s award-winning and leading integrated environmental and waste management company, is set to participate in the Sharjah International Book Fair, SIBF, which will take place from 4th-14th November at the Expo Centre Sharjah.
As part of its collaboration with Kalimat Publishing Group, Bee’ah will launch four short books in both English and Arabic at the event, with strong environmental messages focused on conservation, biodiversity, waste management and air quality.
The company has a specially-designed booth, located in Hall 1 at the venue, from which its Awareness, Education and Events Team will engage with children and exhibition visitors.
Ahead of the SIBF, Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee’ah said, “We are extremely proud and excited to be collaborating with Kalimat to convey a passionate message about the urgency and importance of environmental sustainability to younger generations.
“The four books we published in cooperation with Kalimat teach valuable lessons about some of the main environmental challenges facing the UAE, and the wider world, today, wrapped in engaging and accessible stories.”
Khaled Al Huraimel added, “The work of the Bee’ah School of Environment continues to be fundamental to what we do, and is at the forefront of positive environmental change in Sharjah. We eagerly look forward to engaging in new joint initiatives with Kalimat, which support our vision of embedding the Bee’ah School of Environment as an integral part of the educational community in our emirate.”
Each of the books approaches environmental responsibility from a distinct angle. “The House is Disappearing” is the tale of two young children searching for green alternatives to everyday electronic items.
“The Cycle of Everything” explores the meaning behind the words ‘reusing’ and ‘recycling’, and how they can truly help the environment. “Life is Beautiful” is about the children’s quest to restore a beach’s diminishing biodiversity, and “Midday Summer Dream” tells the story of a tired but funny penguin, on a mission to save the Land of the Penguins.
Bee’ah’s collaboration with Kalimat began at last year’s SIBF, when the two organisations signed an MoU to embark upon multiple joint initiatives, including the publication of these four stories
