“Al Qasba Turkish Nights” bazaar was launched in Al Qasba, “Sharjah’s premier tourist, leisure and family destination” on Thursday amid a large turnout, and will continue until 13 February. The bazaar includes a range of entertaining activities and events and has an atmosphere reminiscent of the popular markets in major Turkish cities.  A wide range of traditional Turkish cuisine and goods are available to visitors who gathered to experience the authentic Turkish bazaar. 

During its opening, “Al Qasba Turkish Nights” bazaar welcomed residents of the Emirate of Sharjah and tourists from all over the region, who were keen to enjoy the exhibited goods, including clothing, traditional jewellery, perfumes, and spices. They also enjoyed the delicious dishes and sweets, as well as tea and Turkish coffee which are displayed inside booths along the walkways of Al Qasba.

Sultan Mohammed Shattaf, Al Qasba Manager, said, “Throughout the year we organize various programs and activities that appeal to a variety of different aspects of the community. We are constantly striving to enhance the social, cultural, and artistic attractions of Sharjah for residents and visitors that are compatible with the emirate's position as a beacon of art and culture as well as protector of Arab heritage.”

Shattaf added, “The idea of this bazaar is to provide an opportunity for visitors to Al Qasba to learn about the diversity of Turkish products and experience the liveliness of an authentic Turkish marketplace. The bazaar was met during the past three days with great enthusiasm by both adults and children

Al Qasba has a range of state-of-the-art facilities and tourist attractions including restaurants, cafes, Kids Fun Zone, Al Qasba Musical Fountain, Eye of the Emirates Wheel, and the Maraya Art Centre among other facilities.
