Sharjah Islamic Bank Academy (SIBA) and the Business Excellence Department at the Department of Economic Development (DED), Dubai, have announced the names of the three speakers who will be featured during the 5th Visions to Reality conference, to be held under the theme “Success Stories” at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 24 May.
The speakers who will present at the conference held by DED and SIBA are English author, educational consultant and creative thinking expert, Tony Buzan, who is labeled as one of the top five speakers in the world, CEO of the Emirates Literature Foundation, Isobel Abulhoul, and young adult science fiction writer, Noura Al Noman.
The conference will focus on reading in commemoration of the UAE’s ‘Year of Reading 2016’ initiative and the National Policy for Reading for 2016-2026, launched by the federal government. The initiatives aim to promote reading in local communities and encourage a new generation of readers among the UAE population.
Memory maestro Tony Buzan will speak about effective mind mapping and speed reading techniques in a session scheduled at 9:40am, Noura Al Noman will speak on “Reading for Humanity” at 11:00am, and Isobel Abulhoul will speak on the topic of ‘Reading from another Perspective’ at 11:20am.
During the conference, Arabic and English copies of the book ‘Success Stories: The UAE’s Pulse of Inspiration’ will be distributed to attendees. The book features 26 real success stories shared by members of the UAE community from different social groups and backgrounds– each detailing how the country has changed his or her life in a positive way.
