H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an administrative resolution forming a committee on hosting the seat of the Arab Children's Parliament.
According to Resolution No.13/ 2016, the independent committee will be chaired by Khawla Abdulrahman Al Mulla, Chairperson of the Sharjah Consultative Council.
Ahmed Mohammed Al Jarwan, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, will serve as deputy chairperson of the new committee.
Other members include Mansour Mohammed bin Nassar, Director of the Legal Department at the Office of the Ruler of Sharjah; Aisha Salim Nu Samannwah, member of the Arab Parliament; Abdullah Ibrahim Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Committee of Legal, Legislative, Appellate, Recommendations and Complaints Committee at Sharjah Consultative Council; Jasim Abdullah Al Naqbi, member of the Arab Parliament; and Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Consultative Council.
Yousuf Hasan Al Ali, Legal Advisor for Sharjah Consultative Council, will serve as the rapporteur and secretary of the new committee.
The committee will coordinate with the Arab League and the Arab Parliament about the establishment of the Arab Children's Parliament and its legal framework and the bylaws as well as the development of its initial general policy.
The resolution is of immediate effect and will be published in the official gazette. All relevant authorities are required by the resolution to carry it out each in their respective jurisdiction.
