The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has finalized preparations for the GITEX Technology Week 2016, which is taking place between 16 to 20 October at the Dubai World Trade Center. SCCI’s participation comes as part of the Government of Sharjah’s integrated platform, ​​where the government will feature the latest innovative solutions and technologies, aimed at enriching the quality of life in Sharjah.

SCCI’s partaking in Gitex is part of its commitment to showcase a unique variety of its new technologies and applications, which it plans to launch during the week.

Commenting on the participation, HE Khalid bin Butti Al Hajri, Director General of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry said: "Our participation in GITEX comes as part of our constant search for the latest modern technology and innovations, and how to integrate them in the wide-range of initiatives and services offered by the Chamber. Gitex will be a great opportunity to grasp the latest technologies and applications, which will benefit the quality of services offered to the business sector, and in turn strengthen the emirate’s economic status.”

Abdul Aziz Al Houli, Director of Information Technology at SCCI said:  "in SCCI, we share the same goals with the Government of Sharjah, in providing an innovative and unique experience to Gitex visitors, and to familiarize them with the quality and variety of services adopted by the government, which helped the government sustain the innovation trend, and stay in parallel with the transformation of the UAE to a smart government, and consolidate the excellent reputation of the UAE regionally and internationally. "

SCCI’s pavilion features a section to highlight the innovative services provided by Shjseen which seeks to strengthen the position of Sharjah as an aspirational place to live, work and invest, through three core pillars: ACTIVATE, INCUBATE, and AWARD. Also, the pavilion will focus on the latest services offered by Tahkeem, the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre.

The pavilion also works to highlight the role of Sharjah Economic Excellence Award, in recognizing outstanding achievement in corporate governance, business ethics, quality standards, corporate social responsibility and environmentally friendly operations.
