In its first participation at GITEX Technology Week, Sharjah Children Centres, SCC, has introduced a range of technologies including a registration programme and a human resources programme, in addition to a high degree of children’s engagement with SCC’s newest smartphone application.
The application has been designed to document various activities and achievements of children, as well as keeping them, and the children centres in Sharjah, constantly connected with their families.
Reem BinKaram, Director of the Sharjah Children Centres, said, "SCC’s strategy to use local exhibitions and conferences as a platform to communicate our roles and responsibilities to nurture our children and foster their talents has been realised with our participation at GITEX 2016. We are happy to be part of one of the most prestigious technology events in the Arab region, and feel it has served as a perfect launchpad for our new smartphone application. This solidifies SCC’s commitment towards providing our emirate’s future leaders with a host of creative ideas and programmes integrated into modern technological means, in attractive and innovative ways."
SCC’s debut was witnessed by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre, Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director-General at Sharjah Department of eGovernment, Khawla Al Mulla, Chairperson of the Sharjah Consultative Council, and senior representatives from SCC and from multiple government departments in Sharjah, who all explored SCC’s newest offerings and innovative learning services.
