Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry “SCCI” called on all its members to consider investment opportunities in land reclamation in Egypt, and capitalize on the unique economic and commercial relations that join the UAE and Egypt.
This comes as HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, welcomed Dr. Younan Edward, Egyptian Commercial Consul in the UAE, accompanied by a notable delegation. Dr. Edward's visit comes to commemorate the success of his recent visit to SCCI.
The two parties held an expanded meeting at SCCI, attended by Mohammed Ahmed Amin, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business, Abdulaziz Shattaf, Assistant Director-General for Members Services, and Abdel-Hamid Demerdash, Chairman of the Agricultural Export Council in Egypt, where they agreed to hold a series of seminars both in Egypt and Sharjah, to discuss investment opportunities for Egyptian and Emirati businessmen and entrepreneurs.
The two sides also agreed to enhance the role of the Egyptian Services Center, and activate participation from Egyptian businesspeople in various events and exhibitions held at Expo Center Sharjah, as well as organize dedicated events to enhance Egyptian brands awareness in Sharjah and build stronger ties with the local business community.
HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, emphasized that the Chamber is committed to offering unhindered support to the business community in Egypt and the UAE in their quest to elevate the relationship between the two parties, and enhance investment ventures in the two countries, in line with the support these relations enjoy from the leadership in both countries.
HE praised the recommendation presented by the Egyptian delegation to encourage Emirati investors to venture into agricultural reclamation in Egypt, noting that SCCI will exert every effort to support this new aspect in the relationship between the two countries.
For his part, Dr. Younan Edward reaffirmed that this second visit of the Egyptian commercial attaché delegation to SCCI within one week highlights the unique relations between the two parties, who expanded their deliberations and negotiations started in the first meeting, and furnished a vision to put what was agreed upon into action.
The Egyptian Commercial Consul invited all Emirati businessmen to consider investing in Egypt’s land reclamation opportunities, to take advantage of the great facilities offered by the Egyptian government in this sector.
