In response to the Year of Giving campaign, the Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority represented by the Government Communication Department has launched the "Bid Without Borders" initiative, to provide its staff an opportunity to help the underprivileged.
The move aims to reflect the meaning of donating through charitable activities and campaigns that contribute towards increasing the happiness of different segments of society.
The "Sedrat Al Omniyat" activity was the result of co-operation between the Authority and the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, which is the first activity under the plan. It painted a smile on the faces of orphans, fulfilling the wishes of only 40 of them.
Salah Salem Al Mahmood, Director General of the Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority, said the Authority’s relentless efforts to implement the concept of social responsibility, strengthen the initiative of the Year of Giving 2017, launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
