H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, today attended the launch of the 16th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days.

The event, being organised by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, is being held under the theme "With Heritage, We Rise".

Upon his arrival, Sheikh Sultan was welcomed by the audience and started his tour at the pavilion of the General Command of Sharjah Police. He was briefed about the beginnings and the accomplishments of the policing work in the Emirate of Sharjah.

He also learned about the pavilions of the departments and companies participating in the festival.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan also visited a number of platforms staged by participating local institutions, including the Sharjah Falconry Club, and was familiarised with its history and activities. Sharjah Ruler also visited the pavilion of the Czech Republic, the event's guest of honour, and was briefed about its contents and history.

He also visited a number of other pavilions.

The opening ceremony was attended by Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention; Brigadier General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police; and a number of officials.
