Sharjah Art Museum organized an event entitled “The Educational Day” for 60 children from Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation at Sahara Centre. The Educational Day aims at giving the children the opportunity to learn artistic skills through workshops and investing their leisure time in useful activities.
“The Educational Day” was held in co-operation with Sharjah Art Museum, and the Education Department, Sharjah Museums Department (SMD). Workshops such as handicrafts using clay and beads, Islamic geometric patterns, and mosaic artworks were available. Advanced workshops were also available such as abstract art, landscapes, as well as modern and contemporary art.
Zekreyat Matouk, Curator of Sharjah Art Museum said: “Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation has been chosen for its role in providing advanced services for its children besides, financial and moral support. It is a new channel to establish good relations between SMD and other bodies in Sharjah.
