Sharjah reading festival is one of the major events that children and girls centers ensure to organize; Sharjah expo center comes to host the festival in order to confirm the desire to participate in building a cultural renaissance in the United Arab Emirates in general and in Sharjah in particular.
On the Expo Center to host the festival HE Saif Al Madfa’a – General Manager of Sharjah Expo- is delighted to host the festival for its third session, because it’s a civilizing mission that is fraught with many values, Sharjah reading festival as HE Almadfa’a says, Is a natural reaction to what Arab children are exposed to from cultural invasion that led to a blurring in their visions and ideas.
His Excellency has also praised the role played by the festival in the developing for the cultural awareness and intellectual development of the child, saying" The importance of this event comes in the responsibility carried on its shoulder, which is to promote reading cultural among children, which is almost about to extinct as a result of the invasion and technical dazzling of the child’s thinking.
Sharjah Reading Festival is a unique experience, which creates an atmosphere of learning mixed with fun and entertainment, to improve the image of the book to the child".
H. E also stressed on the role of Sharjah Expo in providing all the facilities needed to the successful of this festival.
