H.E. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al-Khaili, Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) congratulated school staff, students, parents and all participants of the three regional offices for winning the first place of Sharjah Award for Excellence in Education for the fifth year running.

ADEC topped the 17th Session of the Award announced few days ago. During the ceremony held in Sharjah University and organized by Sharjah Education Council, H.H. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad bin Sultan Al-Qassimi , Sharjah Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Education Council honored ADEC for winning the Award. Dr. Al Khaili. ADEC’s Director General attended the ceremony together with Mr. Mohammed Salem Al-Dhaheri, ADEC’s School Operation Executive Director, who received the shield award.

ADEC won the first place by receiving 23 awards in Excellent School leadership, excellent teacher, excellent student, innovative student, excellent supervisor, excellent family and excellent project categories.

Dr. Al-Khaili said that such awards create an atmosphere of competition amongst the school community for the best interest of education and development of performance in our educational institutions, as well as enhance the learning outcomes in our schools. Winning the awards is the result of sincere efforts and determination to reach the goal.

“Participation in such educational awards gives us an opportunity to assess our progress in order to fine tune our education system, leading us to compete globally for the best interest of our school community”, he added.
Mr. Al-Dhaheri thanked all the participants for their excellent achievements saying that: “Participating in such awards is part of our student-centered approach since students are the cornerstone of the educational process.
Excellent teachers, principals, supervisors or projects have a great & positive impact on student performance & progress”.

The total number of ADEC participants was 101, among whom 54 participants were from Abu Dhabi, 32 from Al-Ain and 15 from Al-Gharbia.
