His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has urged citizens to follow the teachings of the Quran stressing on the importance of reflecting on the meanings of Surahs (verses of the Holy Quran). His Highness pointed out that the verses contained the essence of every life science.
His comments came during a phone-in interview on the radio talk show ‘Al Khat Al Mubasher’ which is simultaneously broadcasted on Sharjah TV. His Highness called upon the citizens to welcome the Holy Month of Ramadan with faithful intentions and urged children of the new generation to return to the Holy Quran and Sunnah, abide by their teachings, and realign themselves from the path of Satan towards goodness.
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi highlighted the significance of the Holy Month of Ramadan that is chosen by the Almighty as the month of forgiveness – as the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are locked. He sent out a prayer to the Almighty asking for guidance to lead everybody to the right path.
Stressing on the importance of gaining the approval of the Almighty by following a virtuous path, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi said: “I want all those who love me to assure me that they will begin the Holy Month of Ramadan with renewed spirit and dedicate every moment to showing mercy and piety as well as worshipping. I want you to avoid wasting time watching TV, sleeping, enjoying entertainment, or eating. Instead, I want you to remember that the Holy Month of Ramadan is an opportunity for everyone to reconnect with the Almighty.”
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah concluded his interview advising his citizens: “We love each other for the sake of the Almighty; it is not a love for a special person. We must love each other because this is part of obeying the Almighty, and not out of any personal interest. Furthermore, we should also stay away from those who disobey the Almighty.”
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi additionally highlighted the significance of agriculture and plants, saying that individuals who have plants around them and are connected to nature witness miracles.
His Highness reaffirmed his keenness to remain in touch with his citizens via the live talk show during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The live show, which is broadcasted on Sharjah Radio and TV simultaneously, has received phenomenal feedback from viewers and listeners. Citizens of the Emirate expressed their prompt response to the advices and directives of their Ruler, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi. and assured His Highness that they will follow the path of the Holy Quran and remain committed to the Sunnah of the Prophet.
