Sharjah Grand Prix - UIM Formula 1 Power Boat Championship
The F1 Powerboat Race will be one of the most awesome and high profile events that will give Etisalat-Sharjah Water Festival a spectacular international dimension, generating worldwide coverage and exposure.
A group of top Powerboat racing stars from 13 countries will be participating in the Sharjah Grand Prix 2009 of the U.I.M. F1 World Powerboat Championship.
Under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sharjah will play host to the final round of the world championship – Formula1, Sharjah Grand Prix 2009.
Organized by Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority in the emirate for the 10th consecutive year, the prestigious international event will end Etisalat – Sharjah Water Festival.
Sharjah will play host to the world championship inspiring and exciting competition – Formula1, Sharjah Grand Prix 2009. An awe inspiring and exciting competition that will witness a spectacular and impressive performance of the world champions to win in the final round of the world champions. During this month, Sharjah will be grabbing the attention of all exciting sport fans. The venue is, once again, Khalid Lagoon with the best rapid races ever. This event attracts more than 50 thousand visitors every year, who gather around the lake to catch the event, in the picturesque city known for both its history and modernity.
