Expocentre Sharjah is the landscaped centrepiece
of a planned "Expo City" in this Arabian state. Over
US $50 million has been invested to give the international exhibitions,
conferences and events industry a state-of-the-art facility
in the heart of the Middle East, with easy access to the developing
Sub-continent and CIS economies.
The first-established Trade Exhibition Centre in the United
Arab Emirates, EXPO CENTRE SHARJAH became the booming centre
for international trade in 1977. In these 20 years, it has been
the most popular trade exhibition venue and home of the Gulf’s
best attended trade shows.
It serves, almost exclusively, the growing trade of the northern
Emirates of Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Fujeirah and Umm Al Quwain.
It links, by arterial highways, the capital of Abu Dhabi and
beyond into Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the Middle
East. Northwards it serves Oman and Yemen.
The
visually striking Expocentre is now the most technically-advanced
exhibition, conference and event complex within the Middle East
- and, the most user-friendly. The 128,000 square metre centre
is also eco-friendly having its own sophisticated waste water
treatment and de-centralised air-conditioning systems. Bordering
Sharjah’s Al Khalid lagoon, the complex is also the only exhibition
venue in the region fronting the sea, making it ideal for marine-related
events.
The new world-class exhibition and meeting complex is a spectacular
tribute to the growing importance of the UAE as the commercial
hub of the Middle East. As the region’s prime meetings destination,

The Facility
EXPO CENTRE is possibly the only trade exhibition facility
in this region that offers trade exhibitors all requirements
on site. The 128,000 square metre complex has its own sophisticated
waste water treatment and de-centralised air-conditioning systems.
For the first time in the Middle East, the center offers wireless
data, internet and telephone connectivity throughout the complex,
increasing visitor transparency.
An extensive network of built-in floor ducts and trenches ensure
easy access to utilities, including compressed air, data communication
services, telephone and internet lines.
ExpoCentreSharjah halls feature state of the art visitor registration
system and controlled entry through turnstiles.
On-site parking for 1,600 vehicles is also available.
