Al Jazeera Park, Sharjah

This park is considered to be one of the most family- oriented parks in the emirate, built on an approximate area of 250,000 square meter on an island inside Khalid lagoon facing the central mall. It was first opened to public on 21 st October 1979 , first day of Al Adha Eid holidays. The park has an integrated recreational system for all age groups, including 18 games such as “ Enterprise ” which is a space ship shape in rotation position, and the astrojet game that takes riders on an exciting space tour. In addition to cars, boats, and a train that takes visitors for a tour around the park, there is the Khalid lagoon to see, as well as a small zoo. The park has a number of facilities such as cafeterias offering fast food and snacks, kiosks for toys, souvenirs, a swimming pool, and green walking tracks. General Information 1. Visiting Hours For Public 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm - Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 3.Entry fees Adults- Dhs. 5 Children- Dhs. 2 Under 5 years of age- Free of Charge 4.Schools Girls- Monday -9:00 am - 1:00 pm Boys- Wednesday- 9:00 am - 1:00 pm No. of students- Maximum 70 students Conditions and notes: . School groups are allowed to enter the park free of charge and pupils need only to pay for any games used while in the park. . Sharjah based schools are not allowed to visit any park without being issued with a permit from the Public Relations Section. Schools based outside Sharjah are exempted from this procedure. Students are allowed to enter a park before permit has been issued. The tour supervisor must then go immediately to the public relation section to issue the permit. . Night tours do not need a permit. . Kindergarten students and lower primary classes are allowed to enter the parks on ladies days. 5. Park Address Sharjah Bridge – Khalid lagoon extension – Near to AL Khan area. 6. Remarks . Sharjah Municipality offers special discount on entry fees for Government and private institutes, schools, and universities.

Barbequing on grass. 4. littering on grass. 5. Cycling on grass. 6. Playing cricket or football on grass. Make your visit to the park a chance for relaxing and avoid violations.
